Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). When she was a kid she was enrolled in the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma was only six when she decided she wanted to be an actor. She trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she studied acting and singing. When she was ten, she had performed and taken as the main character in several Stagecoach productions as well as school plays. Casting began in 1999 in the production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the film adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was found by agents through their Oxford teacher. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after 8 auditions. They were cast as the three lead characters Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. The film's release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) was Emma's debut on the screen in cinema. The film broke all records in terms of the opening weekend and revenues, and was the most-recorded 2001 movie. Reviewers were awed by the movie and its performances. The highly distributed British newspaper The Daily Telegraph called her performances admirable. Later Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her role in the film, winning the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in an Feature Film.
